Our Spring Car AC Maintenance Includes the Following

Now is the perfect time to bring your car, truck, or utility vehicle to Advanced Automotive for a spring AC maintenance service. You want to make sure that your car’s air conditioner works as best as it can all summer long. When you let us inspect the AC, you give us the opportunity to check absolutely everything in the system and repair anything that is bad. This ensures you can count on your air conditioner throughout the summer to keep the inside of your automobile comfortable. Here are some of the things that are included in our air conditioner maintenance service.

Compressor Test

One of the first things that we do is test the air conditioner compressor to make sure it is running okay. The reason why this is important is that the compressor works better when it works often. You haven’t been running your car’s air conditioner throughout the winter, and this can cause problems with the compressor because it hasn’t been used. We will test it to make sure it is working okay.

Condenser Check

We will also check the condenser to make sure that it is in excellent condition. The condenser is subject to damage by road debris because it is located directly behind your vehicle’s grille. The condenser actually needs this location to use the air that flows through the grill to cool off the refrigerant. This being said, this location can also clog or damage the condenser.

Fan Inspection

Aside from the outside air, the condenser also uses a fan to help reduce the refrigerant’s temperature. This fan can also be damaged by road debris. As such, we will inspect the fan to make sure it is in excellent condition. We will also test it to make sure it works when it needs to.

Electrical Check

Sometimes, the fan can have a problem because there’s a problem in your vehicle’s electrical system. We help you avoid this by checking the electrical system to make sure it is working properly. We look for things that can affect the air conditioner’s operation, such as frayed wiring, broken switches, or blown fuses.

Refrigerant Check

Finally, we will also take a look at the refrigerant level in the system to make sure you have plenty of refrigerant to keep you cool all summer long. If the refrigerant level is low, we will add refrigerant.
